Celebrating National Bird Day with Daphne!

I brought Daphne to the radio station today to celebrate National Bird Day! Daphne is a Senegal parrot I adopted in Sacramento. Right before I adopted Daphne she escaped her cage at the pet store and flew inside of the alligator enclosure at the Sacramento Zoo! The Zoo used the Nextdoor app to post they had Daphne and the pet store was able to get her back!!

That's when I discovered Daphne.... I walked into the pet shop to pick up some mice for my snakes and saw her. I knew right away she was a very special bird. She was so sweet and friendly! When I heard her story about her escape flight to the Zoo I just had to take her home! We bonded instantly at the pet shop and she's been such a lovely addition to my flock! Happy National Bird Day from Daphne and I at KFBK and K-Talk Now . com! (and my other birds at home:P)
