I’ve spent most of my life behind a microphone, behind the scenes, or behind a camera. My media career began when I was just 14 years old at NewsRadio KFBK in Sacramento. What started as a teenage job grew into a career spanning three decades in broadcasting, production, audio, photography and digital media.

During my years at KFBK and iHeartMedia, I worked behind the scenes and on the air through some of the biggest stories of our time, from elections and wildfires to breaking news and major national events. But what I loved most about broadcasting was always the same thing: connecting with people.

In 2019, my life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with leukemia. I spent a month in the hospital followed by 8 months of chemotherapy treatment. The experience changed the way I looked at time, creativity and the stories worth telling.

Eventually, another chapter began.

After spending most of my life in Sacramento, I moved to Las Vegas and fell in love with discovering a city that is far more interesting, strange, historic, creative and human than the neon version most people see from the outside.

Today, I’m the founder of Aviva Las Vegas, a growing media brand dedicated to exploring the people, places, food, entertainment, events and stories that make Las Vegas unlike anywhere else.

K-Talk Now is part of that world: a place for conversations, personalities and stories worth hearing.

I’m also a photographer, lifelong animal lover, equestrian, music lover and an unapologetically curious person. Give me an interesting person, an old building, a great restaurant, a concert, a horse, a weird piece of Las Vegas history or a story nobody else noticed, and I probably want to know more about it.

After three decades in media, I still believe the best part of this work is remarkably simple:

Everybody has a story. I want to hear it.
